| Whole Wheat Crackers (These taste
similar to graham crackers.)
- 2 c wheat
flour
- 1 c white
flour
- 1 t baking
powder
- 1/2 c
margarine or butter
- 1/2 c brown
sugar
- 1/3 c honey
- 1 t vanilla
- 1/2 c milk
- 2 t sugar
- 1/2 t ground
nutmeg
Beat butter or
margarine. Add brown sugar, honey, and vanilla
until fluffy. Combine dry ingredients in a
separate bowl. Add dry ingredients and milk
alternately to the brown sugar/honey mixture.
Divide in half. Cover and chill. Roll
out dough 1/8 inch thich and cut with cookie
cutters. Prick with a fork and sprinkle with
sugar or nutmeg. Bake at 350 degrees until
brown (5-12 minutes depending on thickness of dough;
bake longer if you want a crisp cracker and less
time for a soft cracker.)
